Testing

Two levels of testing are available:

1.  Reading skills assessment: this level of testing is appropriate when seeking support and intervention to strengthen reading and spelling. This testing identifies which programming will be most beneficial, it gathers the needed data to create a personalized learning plan, and is used for progress monitoring. Cost: $299. Testing Time: 1 Hour

2.  Comprehensive Dyslexia Evaluation: This level of testing is appropriate for determining whether your student has characteristics of dyslexia. A series of standardized, norm-refernced assessments will identify if areas of processing and academic performance are lagging behind same-age peers in areas that are typically affected when dyslexia is impacting progress and performance in school. A written report and in-person meeting will give you the information you need to seek appropriate supports and accommodations inside and outside of school or the workplace. Cost: $499. Testing time: 1.5 hours.

3.  Other areas of academic assessment may also be available such as writing/written expression, math, oral language skills, assessment for dysgraphia, etc. Contact Carmen Heethuis Pathways Literacy Center to inquire.
